Brief: 
Design and specify the packaging for a ‘COVID-19’ personal combination pack to be sold and distributed on-line through an e-commerce platform. The kit should contain at least three different items from the following 
- a cloth mask and/or a face shield, a pack of handwash and/or a pack of hand sanitiser. The objective is to create a combination pack of at three products that enhances the consumer experience in receiving and opening the packaging whilst working as effective primary packaging and as a shipper / distribution unit.

Write up:
2020 Vision is designed to address the issue of foggy spectacles. A shipper-display box houses individual kits, which come in the form of spectacle cases, wrapped with a communicative sleeve.

The packaging is designed in the form of a spectacle case that can be kept in a handbag or car door. The case has space to house the elements bought with the pack, as well as the user’s spectacles. The logo represents both the words “2020 Vision” as well as a person wearing spectacles and a face mask. The tagline: “protection that helps you see through the pandemic”, reinforces the ideas of the pack being primarily a form of protection against the COVID-19 virus, but also plays with that idea of clear vision and sight.

The mock-up of the case was created with the use of 3D modelling software and a 3D printer. A thin cardboard sleeve communicates the brand, contents and purpose. The sleeve is sized to cover the logos printed on the case itself, so the product has a more polished
appearance when the sleeve is wrapped around the case. 

A thicker cardboard shipper-display box was designed for both shipping and display purposes. The box has a foldout feature, where the lid opens and folds back to create a display board without requiring disposal of any extra pieces or extra unpacking effort. On the right-hand side of the box is a Store Hygiene Protocol Steps. This is a resource currently being used by the Spec-Savers brand. This was included as, if this were to be a product produced by Spec-Savers in a real-life scenario, they would most likely stay consistent to their existing marketing material and include these steps on the shipper-display container.
